I realize this is inapropriate given the context but when I heard the group mentioned on npr today I could not help but think of the druish princess from spaceballs. Like did brooks hear about this group and thought it sounded a bit like jewz and decided to modify it a bit.

I too moved over during the api hulabaloo but I only used the website. I just was pretty sick of it and when I looked at the federation I was like. this is fine. Many folks want more numbers but I can take it or leave it as I like the sorta in crowd we got going.

My wife has weight issues that effect her health. Here is the thing. She has low thyroid and her tests come out as just within normal on the low side. She has other symptoms of low thyroid with hair and such and her doctor refuses to up her relatively cheap thyroid medication dosage (which we have to pay for anyway) and instead has her on ozempic. I firmly suspect shannigans like what caused the opiod epidemic. I see no reason this doctor is so adamant about using ozempic without some sort of quid pro quo. Pisses me off.

I don’t see how anyone can get by without one nowadays. Now online vs something local is a big deal. I use online for unimportant passwords and local for important passwords. With important being financial mostly but some other things. Unimportant are things that if I lost access to and ended up never using again would not like ruin my life.

I feel this. Its basically more infuriating where as if they are just straight up evil at least they would be voting consistant with their values. Every so often I have said im not sure which is worse evil or stupid but oftentimes I lean toward stupid. As much as we say policies favor the wealthy it really does not in a long term holistic way. The one cult expert guy has it right. It was only a few years ago that I realized mlm was a cult (I mean I always realized its a scam but never realized the people in it were so brainwashed) and he got me to realize it really is the same with maga.

Yeah I will totally watch a playthrough over playing sometimes. There are many games and I only have so much time. Many playthroughs the person already had completed the game and then to boot they will edit out going back to save games. Heck back in the day we would hang at arcades and we did not have enough money to constantly play so we would watch each other or strangers play neat games. Someone who is good might regularly get a little crowd around them. And money is another thing along with time. Games cost money. I have not played deaths stranding or the last of us but I know the game.

EDITED - so I did not really answer the question. no its not the same but yes its an acceptable way to enjoy a game.

Naw I maybe did not word it right. Im like halfway between where the center should be and far left but from the position im more inclined toward the center. So to me im a centerist liberal but what is called a centerist liberal is a right leaning politician which are mostly democrats now that the republicans have gone beyond extreme right since the base is made up of ideas that would get someone committed in the past and their core principles of old are considered fringe left (you know actually caring about deficits and rule of law and such). Republican reps from the 70’s and even 80’s and heck into the 90’s would be parias in their party now and fit in with the dems. Most dem politicians are right of me except like bernie and yang and such. Federman talked before his brain damage like something that would fit with me. Its funny even when talking extremes because liberal extremes are still based in left idiology so you can’t even compare to the right extreme now which again is just crazyness with no real connection to the historical ideology. Add to this that the republican party is so far that way that at best they are super right extreme moving from there to the batshit stuff we have now.

I have this interesting experience where I was at a catholic college for two years and then a state school. I certainly seemed liberal at the catholic institution compared to my schoolmates and center at the state school although sometimes I feel like I might even be a sliver to the right for the place and times. Im not really center overall and am left of center if things were normal but by maga standards much like everyone a sliver left or more I would be a wako commie super leftist.

Its sorta drives me nuts these terms. I consider myself a centerist because of where the center actually should be. In terms of I want social safety nets and progressive taxes and sensible regulation. I feel centerist is used to mean right leaning folks which is so not center.

This is one of the few modern shows that I like that is still actively going on. Can’t wait.

I.T. - just told would not go forward with one but Im appreciative as it was actually open minded about experience that was quite some time back. They could have kicked me out as a prospect right from the get go but were willing to look at folks with a lot of experience who could take on the role (I was excited as it felt more like the aughts in attitude). I could not sleep as I realized I had answered a question wrong and could visualize when I had worked with the system. The other one I had this week was an initial but it sounds like I should get to the second stage in a week or two when they go into regular interviews. I.E. - it sounds like I passed the resume stage.

Not really unless we are just cool with homelessness. I mean we need disability to not deny folks at the very least for this to work and provide enough to have a place that will work with the disability. Ultimately there will be some cases where it is needed. This is again the bottom line safety net. Its not great housing and its stuff people want to get away from.
