And you also contribute to make the red hat ecosystem relevant, potentially bringing paid customers for RHEL. It’s a drop in the ocean of course, but personally I don’t want to contribute to it.

The only issue is that you provide free testing for IBM, so it’s a no go if you try to boycott/avoid US companies. If you don’t it’s indeed a great choice.
