Experts warn that the dangerous ideologically driven cuts at HHS will have long-term consequences for healthcare

The Trump administration’s “war on science” appears to have entered a new phase in the aftermath of a recent supreme court decision that empowered health and human services secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, a prominent vaccine sceptic, and other agency leaders, to implement mass firings – effectively greenlighting the politicization of science.

The decision comes as Kennedy abruptly canceled a scheduled meeting of a key health care advisory panel, the US Preventive Services Task Force, earlier this month. That, combined with his recent removal of a panel of more than a dozen vaccine advisers, signals that his dismantling of the science-based policymaking at HHS is likely far from over.

“The current administration is waging a war on science,” warned Celine Gounder, a professor of medicine and an infectious disease expert at New York University in a keynote talk in May to graduates of Harvard’s School of Public Health.

Would be a great time for the bigger states to start vacuuming up federal agency workers and reduplicating their work inside the state university system.

Not that California, New York, Illinois, or Pennsylvania would actually do this. But it might be nice of they considered it.

Meanwhile… Cancer vaccine!..not to prevent but to cure the sonobabich.

Here the government is fighting the scientists and their discoveries plus they’re trying to take away access to the discoveries and re routing our tax money to their own pockets plus to pay for weapons to murder children in other countries.

Its like country enshitification. They figured how to mix the DMV with AI and Nazis.

Honestly, even the DMV has improved in a lot of ways over the years and the reputation it had from the late 1900s doesn’t really meet up with my experiences in more recent decades, or at least it did here in Colorado…but that’s before these assholes got their hands on things.

Even with Colorado being a blue state, I’m sure the assmunch conservatives have not given up on trying to fuck those of us that didn’t vote for their shitty emperor-god, even at the most local level possible.

These people are just hell bent on getting “revenge” on people unlike them trying to live their best lives. When Taco said he was their retribution, that resonates with a lot of very terrible people, and they desperately want others to suffer in all kinds of ways. These are the people that would let Taco take a dump in their mouth if they thought a liberal had to smell it.

Cyberpunk 2077 was not meant to be something to be aspired to. But at this rate, we might just skip straight to Fallout.

These guys are doing a lot of damage. If the US can shake these assholes out of power, it will likely take years to even understand the extent of the damage they have done, never mind undoing all the damage.

I would not be surprised to see EU and China leapfrog us by a country mile thanks to the assfucks the stupidest people in this country voted for…I mean, cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, heart disease - these guys are cutting NIH funding.

And a lot of it is driven by a whole lot of stupid people wanting Taco to get “revenge” on some group of people over mostly-made-up cultural bullshit. It takes well-adjusted adults to build a working system. Any dysfunctional dumbass or even a child can tear things apart…

Oh no. They raise the alarm. What is RFK Jr going to do about this?

Grow some balls and either revolt or leave the country. People thinking that publicly criticizing is enough are part of the problem.
