If offered the choice they wouldn’t do it, or at least the amount of it destroying their body.
I like physical labor. I even prefer having jobs where I do physical labor over sitting all day. I do not like the fact they hurt me over time making future physical labor harder and harder.
People in labouring professions do consider it selling their body. They understand the work they are doing is destroying them.
