The US Bureau of Labor of Statistics will be releasing its June inflation data this Tuesday, with economists forecasting a slight uptick in consumer prices because of the impact of tariffs. Whether it affects inflation or not, it is having a negative impact on my small business. I own a brick and mortar game shop, people are spending far less than normal. They are worried about food and other necessities to be able to spend on leisure.
January and June are the only two months I have not had to play rent and other bills for the shop out of savings. I have not had to do that for 6 years, not even during COVID.
