My colleague has the same name as my boss.
His nickname (translates to “Shorty”) is based on his last name.
And that’s so weird to say as someone being younger and smaller than your colleague to call him “Shorty”.
Reason is my dad calls me “Großer” (literal translation: Bigger -> As in “The great”) and I jokingly call him that back. But the same thing can be said with calling him “Kurzer” if he’s smaller.
I like my job. It’s annoying but likable.
Especially the colleagues make it bearable and I’ll stay for a cold one after work on a friday to chill in the corner or on the balcony (during summer).

In Germany we uszally use Debit bank cards for payment (if something like a credit card isnt included).
The GiroCard is standard across all banks and usually every shop accepts that method.
Problem is: They don’t work on the interwebz.

Isnt bash essentially treating everything like a string and it’s up to you to resolve that?

Is this a take in regards to soldering in new flash chips or replacing a board and then needing to wrestle Apple support during an RMA to replace a faulty component (because I quiet confidently believe, Apple will cross check your hardware with their records from the serial number).
And I don’t believe regular PC manufacturers/OEMs are that hard to argue with if I insert my own SSD.
