Absolut gerechtfertigter hinweis.

KokusnussRitter@discuss.tchncs.deto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•how far out of your way do you go to help wild animals each day on average?4·3 days agoI always walk past pigeons with some extra distance to make them feel safe. Or any animal, it’s just that I encounter pigeons the most.
I rescued a bird that was unable to fly and I would do so again. But now I know that my local shelter will accept them and I will not attempt to foster them myself again.
**Please don’t just grab wild birds (or any animal for that matter) off the street but take some time to observe them first. If they struggle to fly/walk, look like they’re under weight, cold or have visible injuries, then catching them is usually warranted.

Is LinuxMint a good place to start?1·7 days agoI too have very limited coding ability and started with mint about a year ago myself. I think it’s a good OS. The different nomenclature confused me in the beginning, but ChatGPT is pretty reliable troubleshooting issues and I met plenty very helpful people on here that offered to teach me. You will be fine. Just a tip: back up your important data or at least don’t keep it on the same drive as your OS, because I broke mine in many, many curious ways when starting out, and had to reinstall a few times xD
I’m a little worried about this. From my limited experience I think some bugs need a certain humidity/temperature and as little handling as possible. Based on your pictures you don’t seem well equipped, so maybe it would be best for the bug to be released back into the wild

But a system that makes it harder for a certain group of people to become successful will create more successful people of the favoured group.
There may be other factors at play here, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that men have a higher likelyness of being extremely talented with the possible underlying implication that talent is dependent on sex.
As an artist myself I might add, talent is a misconception in itself. Arts are a craft that can be learned.
What seems to be lacking is women’s ability to recognize and appreciate [extreme talent] in men, and that’s the point I believe anon was trying to make.
The whole bear/man in the woods thing was about feeling safe, not men’s artistic talent.
Would I feel uneasy or insecure about it if I was a guy? Probably. But anon fails to ask the important question. Why do women choose the bear, despite the dedicated, artistic, violent deeds of men for love?
I’ll leave this open, because I believe we won’t see eye to eye on this one.
So why do most of them seem to need help from men to write successful songs?
Patricarchy.
I find it so interesting, that you seem to be under the impression that men are framed as evil by supposed feminists, yet denounce the work of a women if they worked with a man, as if the man being in the picture delegitemises the women’s sincerity and work. Isn’t cooperation regardless of gender what brings equality? Isn’t it unrealistic to expect anyone from never interacting with someone of the male gender in their career? I don’t think we should denounce the work of women for doing that, especially when looking at music from the past century, when women didn’t have the right to choose a career without a man’s permission

They are about lesser known accidents involving ionizing radiation and are absolutely fascinating, all be it tragic. Overall his channel made me curious about nuclear energy and radiation and I now have a much better (but still basic) understanding of the topic.
And I feel I am a minority here, but due to his videos I think we should hold on to nuclear energy a little longer, decomission coal power plants first, whilst expanding solar, wind or tidal energy. (I hope these are the correct terms, english is not my native language) We already have nuclear waste to take care of, what’s ten more years worth of nuclear waste if it means that we can radically cut CO2 emissions.
The right one. Since you have a patterned wallpaper in the background the etched bottle provides a spot of reletively low detail for the eyes to rest on. The printed bottle against the wallpaper has too much going on for my taste. But itcould really shine in a more minimalistic or cleanly decorated environment and become an interesting piece to look at :)

KokusnussRitter@discuss.tchncs.deto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do neurotypicals like AI slop?31·24 days agoI think there is a differentiation that needs to be made here. Your described experience with short form video/ social media as a neurodiverse person and the response to AI generated content. To my knowledge social media and short form video platforms are designed to release as much dopamine, but whether the type of content is AI or not isn’t necessarily important here. I am not sure about this, but I believe many of my peers who are neurodivers enjoy tiktok. So there may not be a clear difference between neurodiverse and neurotypical people, not to say that your experience isn’t valid. It is.
Instead I think tech literacy and political believes might be at play here. First of to identify well made AI content as such and secondly, the general response to it (intrest/no interest/political and moral concerns). Further more I think AI content might be pushed to users due to their controversial standing which might result in lots of discussion in the comments. TikToks users are on average also fairly young and might not filter content as much as older users would. Lastly it is easy to publish a lot of AI generated content due to automation. The more AI content gets uploaded the higher the likelyhood of it being recommended to users.
