I have a lot of bad things to say about Amazon, but from what I’ve seen they’re willing to fund things. Unless there is a radical strategy change or the quality of the show tanks for multiple seasons I’m glad we’re probably going to get all of it.

Invincible is probably the best show currently airing on Amazon on the moment.

I’m actually more concerned. It’s moved around in August a few times, most recently August 27th.

Airing next week makes me think it’s going to be overshadowed by Fantastic Four. I hope I’m wrong.

It’s a great crime drama with comedy mixed in. Has nothing to do with dogs and is just one of those unfortunately names shows.

As a mild spoiler the show actually has a great ending. It certainly sets up for future seasons and I really want to watch those seasons, but given that it was cancelled, it’s actually a solid ending.

Colman Domingo returns as a guest star

The between seasons two person monologue (I’m sure there is a better term) is one of the best of any series. Just excellent dialogue between two people.

The eight-part season will include a time jump that brings the characters out of high school and is expected to close out the story.

Time jump is the only way this series works and I’m glad it’s coming to an end. Don’t get me wrong I’d LOVE to see many more seasons of the show but with season 1 being 2019, the specials being 2020/2021, season 2 being 2022 and season 3 being maybe 2026 everyone has just aged up too far and many of the actors have outgrown the series.

I look forward to the final season and whatever everyone moves on to next.

I enjoyed the first half or so of the first season, but didn’t feel that it stuck the landing, it just felt stretched out. That being said I do want to explore the world they’ve built.

I’d be up for a season 2 binge if it reviews well.

I completely forgot about this but honestly it was a cute little show. Being on Netflix is weird, but I watched it on YouTube where it fits well.

The truth is Mango has the memory of a goldfish.

South Park makes 10 episodes a year (at most) and after the Mr Garrison storyline it grew old. Not that South Park doesn’t bring him up, it’s just that with only a few episodes you’ve got to focus on your topic of the week. Also by 10 episodes I mean like 6 and by every year nothing since 1 special in 2024.

Colbert however? As a late night news talk show it makes ~160 episodes a year. And a certain someone loves to make a fool of themselves and suck up all the oxygen in the room, so it’s not surprising he comes up on Colbert’s show so frequently.

Last year during the writers strike Colbert made no new episodes. Had the strike been this year instead I doubt the show would be cancelled.

Hell if Colbert wasn’t as highly rated of a show, it also probably wouldn’t be cancelled. Seth Meyers who is in the late night time slot and for some reason has low ratings constantly shits on Mr. Crybaby and you rarely hear about it. (Also CBS vs NBC and a pending merger.)

We all know it’s a cowardly shakedown.

Agreed. We need some way to Manage these Passwords. Something to protect all our password Bits and watch over them like a Warden. Some way that I could have just 1 Password. I just want something to Keep my Ass, err Keep my Pass-words safe.

Hopefully someone will solve this problem. Someday.

I’m a huge fan of Ted Lasso and I’m usually the first to say “Let it ride”, but season 3 came to a really nice conclusion.

I hope it’s a good season and not a weird tack on season.

I think Stewart’s current contract extends until the end of the year (at a minimum). I’m also confident Stewart has complete creative freedom, same as Colbert.

I expect they’ll be having A LOT of fun between now and when their contracts end, all on CBS’s dime. Once it’s over, they’ll team up for sure. (If not a bunch before.)

I wouldn’t say he’s wasted, but I do agree he has better work ahead of him.

You can look at Jon Oliver who carved out a pretty solid gig for himself. He got lucky that Stewart needed a little time to explore and he got to jump in as guest host. Next thing you know he’s scoring yearly Emmy wins.

I don’t know what Colbert might get up to next, but do agree it’ll be worth watching.

Well earned. I really hope The Pitt wins big. It was a fantastic yet simple show. Just a day in the emergency room.

What happened: The House Rules Committee, which prepares legislation for votes on the House floor, voted 5 to 6 against attaching Khanna’s amendment to a procedural measure related to the GENIUS Act and a defense funding bill.

Republicans said the amendment was not pertinent to the GENIUS Act, which would create the first regulatory framework for stablecoins, or the defense funding bill.

I hope the next step is one page bill to vote on and not an amendment to an unrelated bill.

I feel like this amendment gives Republicans full cover since they can just say, “It was an unrelated amendment” and they’d be right.

Just the other day Rep Khanna tweeted,

On Tuesday, I’m introducing an amendment to force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public. The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record.

But had this amendment passed it would not have put every Congress member on record. Had this amendment passed Congress would have been voting on the “GENIUS Act” and defense funding bill.

We would have been in the EXACT same situation as we JUST had with the “Big Beautiful Bill”. People voting for it and then saying, “Oh, but I don’t agree with it.”

Had his amendment passed Democrats could then vote against the bill by saying, “The GENIUS Act and defense spending bill are terrible pieces of legislation. I also want the list released, but I couldn’t vote for this bill for other reasons.”

And yes, a one page bill that says to release the files would never actually get a congressional vote. The Speaker of the House would never bring it for a vote. Some procedural nonsense would block it. BUT make those fuckers defend their decision.

Just because Democrats are in the minority doesn’t mean they have to give up at the slightest inconvenience. Push this hard. You’ve found a weak spot, hit back! Push Republicans. Fuck, push Democrats if you have to.

Whenever you send a card to get graded, no matter which grading service, they serialize every single card

Wouldn’t serializing a card “damage” the card and make it less valuable? I know the grading service wouldn’t say so, but that’s because they damaged it.

Sure, but you’d have to find someone willing to talk about it. In fact you’d probably want to find at least 2-3 people who can all confirm the same story.

Plus if you can call it a scam right out of the gate (this article is a follow up to the original purchase article when the phone was first “released”) maybe you can limit the damage of the scam.

If you can spend $100 to rightfully call out a scam that would have made $1,000, is that a net win? That’s an honest question. I think so, but I understand that might not be the case.

To add, before the change the Gentoo wiki was a top resource when it came to Linux questions. Even if you didn’t use Gentoo you could find detailed information on how various parts of Linux worked.

One day the Gentoo wiki died. It got temporary mirrors quickly, but it took a long time to get up and working again. This left a huge opening for another wiki, the Arch wiki, to become the new top resource.

I suspect, for a number of reasons, Arch was always going to replace Gentoo as the “True Linux Explorer”, but the wiki outage accelerated it.
