Not a problem with Linux. Pipewire works great and offers everything you need from an audio backend, there are great DAWs like Bitwig and Reaper and a good collection of compatible plugins as well. The main problem is hardware, which isn’t the fault of Linux but hardware manufacturers.

So true. Reading this almost hurts as much as the metal bar over every bus seat.
Absolutely 100% wrong. You’re placing an order in the faint hope of the result being “just about” what you wanted. Demands for small changes usually result in tons of weird side effects. You’re not in control, and daring to compare it to actual photo editing or photography is cocky at best.
This. Especially important these days, where people can literally throw money at even this social problem to buy an armada of LLMs to manipulate public opinion. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. are dead platforms for that reason, there’s no reason to engage in any debate or really anything anymore. Best to just state the facts when public people say bullshit again and then go on, muting any reply.
We might need redesigns for seatbelts then, one that can be easily adapted to a variety of body widths, heights and chests.
No clue how there can be seen anything else here but forks.

How in the everlasting dystopian fuck can those absolute thundercunts even do that.
And then there were those who got a rock-hard boner and wondered for a completely different reason if this career was for them.
How to distinguish between normal talk about the topic and nazis? I’m confused, it’s the first time I hear about this. This meme is ancient as well, although this specific variant makes zero sense to me.
Natanox@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•What kind of ROI did they promise to their investors?English2·13 days agoYou can afford rent (although it costs about 60%-70% of what you have) mostly, outside of city centres. The rent costs are indeed abysmal though. Main problem is the constant fight of right-wingers (incl. “Christians”) and libtards to make exceptions who’s eligible for minimum wage and keep the minimum wage as low as possible. With welfare they already managed to get it as low as human rights and our constitution allows, they literally can’t reduce it as this would clearly violate human dignity according to our highest courts. So they punch holes in the minimum wage to make sure as many people as possible are stuck at welfare-level. The housing market in that bracket basically collapsed, to quote someone working at a federal agency: “These emergeny vouchers (for housing) aren’t worth shit anymore.” (Those vouchers, lit. “Dringlichkeitsbescheinigung”, were originally meant to be the the last line of defence to prevent people from landing on the street).
Natanox@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•What kind of ROI did they promise to their investors?English1·14 days agoWe also have a minimum wage, and if it was implemented the way social democrats and greens wanted it it would be fine. Unfortunately we also have “Christian” democrats (think US Republicans from 10 years ago) and Libertarians, who managed to fuck it up so there are quite a few “exceptions” for who can be underpayed below the minimum now. Long-time (>6 months) jobless people for example (they can also be fired just before gaining the “privilege” to receive said minimum, resetting the timer for them). There are more exceptions of course, can’t have the “wrong” people get enough money to life from.
Natanox@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•What kind of ROI did they promise to their investors?English2·14 days agoThe only reason we don’t have this shit in more rich countries often is that people receive welfare despite working a full-time job because it doesn’t pay properly. In Germany we call this “aufstocken”. Basically another way to create wage slavery and redirect money from the state towards the private sector. The US is just very obvious and very loud about everything. Other third world countries indeed don’t have it any better.
Going out with my mind filled with funny images isn’t the worst thing I can think off, really.
Natanox@discuss.tchncs.deto memes@lemmy.world•What kind of ROI did they promise to their investors?English6·14 days agoI am. Feel free to talk with people about this who live in old vehicles, on a friends’ couch or literally on the streets despite having a “job”. Or those who only have proper housing and food by working two or more jobs.
