More likely you just would not have been kept in hospital four months here. Somehow we have the combination of highest cost and also cost-cutting schemes.
To answer your question - $18,000 I guess, if I got lucky and the insurance worked correctly. That’s the alleged max out of pocket for the insurance I pay for at work.
Yeah my brother said you should always tell people you are older than you are, so that they think you look good for your age.
Yeah I tell people when they ask, they gasp, but then they forget. It’s mostly people younger than me who do this, though. And when I was 12 people often perceived me as a grown woman (I was tall. Didn’t even have my period yet, just the height and my overall look and face I guess read ‘adult’) but just stayed the same for a long time. I am aging, I can see it. But nobody seems to think I look like their idea of my age.
We have an intern at our work who does look like a 13 year old. I think he’s 21 or so but really does look like a child. I can imagine it’s annoying.
I know it’s not relevant to this, but wow she is turning into the same ghoulish blonde undead looking person as those who tread this path before her. She has aged 10 years in 1 year. The stress of all that lying is showing.
Zero. I have never gotten back together with anyone I’ve broken up with. LTR? Had one 25 year run, one split. Now in a relationship that has so far lasted 12 years I think? Yes we are happy.
Migraine. I’ve broken bones, had unmedicated childbirth, nothing has ever hurt as much or as disgustingly as a migraine. (ETA kidney/bladder stone came close but at least wasn’t in my head!)
Other than that, any pain to do with fingernails or toenails sqiucks me out, I would cave under torture.
It’s infantilizing. I would never treat a grown man that way, nor would I live with a guy who expected to be ‘taken care of’ to that extent. It implies a lack of trust in your ability to take care of yourself. I want a partner, not another child to take care of!
You are average in this, I would say.
That headline. First I thought Iranians sunbathe and play with drones at the same time? Then had the unfortunate mental image of Trump sunbathing.
Licorice is wonderful. When I was a little kid, half the reason Halloween was my favorite holiday was because there were packs of only orange and black jellybeans, the only good flavors.
Panda licorice now, it’s amazing. At our airport there is an all licorice vending machine, all different kinds but of course since it’s in an airport it’s expensive.
Could be, sure. But also might not. That’s not really something we can know now, but I think we can know that a pyramid scheme is unsustainable. The price of less polluting renewable energy is falling fast, for one thing. I personally don’t think the big population is all bad, so many people means more good people too. So much technological progress.
I get this, but we can’t have an infinitely expanding population, at some point it will have to stabilize, and there has to be the glut of old people at the beginning of that. People are aging more slowly than in the past, at least, even if living longer more of those years are good and can be productive.
Knee pads?
You know - the only thing you can really control at all is yourself. So it can be true that the world sucks, but making yourself suck is not going to do anything except hurt you, yourself. And make the world a little bit suckier.
So regardless of the outside circumstances, the best action is always to work on yourself. Generally speaking that does make you look differently at your circumstances too, so that you might be able to improve your situation with some action but even if those circumstances don’t change you are still better equipped to deal with them.
Has this man never eaten a sandwich? Pizza? French Fries? Tacos? What is this nonsense?
I can believe this. Not fake, not gay. The math teaching of the past was so dumb. Even now, I have 2 kids who never got a bad math teacher and still love math; two who did (one teacher who actually thought women ought not get higher education) and those two do not
And a good math teacher is a treasure beyond words. Mr. Galing, if I could have had you teach my kids through high school I would have taken them anywhere.
My mom had an uncle named J.M. It didn’t stand for anything, that’s what his momma named him. He went into the army and they were not having it. His paperwork read “Jayem”.
