Am I missing something? From what I see, this guy does tech repair videos. Did he get hit by an ebike?
Here’s the heart of the argument.
“Since e-bikes do not require a license, drivers of e-bikes can simply ignore their traffic summons with no repercussions whatsoever, making any enforcement futile,” the police spokesperson said. However, the new requirement that cyclists appear in court, or face an arrest warrant if they fail to, creates “a strong incentive to show up in court.”
The article does a good job of explaining why s court summons is any where from an unfair inconvenience to down right dangerous for some, but the initial concern should be addressed.
This is, apparently, Shanin Blake. This is a picture from 2017.
Arguably, there’s a lot to criticize her about, but her leading a carefree lifestyle and finding success in publicizing it doesn’t seem like one.
Well… this is from 2017, so not AI.
And it’s just a different ear. I found a less compressed version.
Edit: nevermind. Compression. When you zoom you see it. God… AI slop has broken me.
Does that ear look wrong to anyone else. Maybe it’s the angle or the resolution, but there seems to be several features missing.
They deserved it. They should have known to wait 13 years to date a 14 year old. The equation is 1/2 your age +1.
I would, of course, mistake the condescension for genuine and sincere interest. I have found a nerd buddy. Once I’m done dumping, you can dump on me. This is so cool.
Oh wait… You’re being mean. How heart breaking. I’ll go climb into my little dark hole.
islets of langerhans?
How is this article about the Lebanese community gaining “white” status in the Jim Crow south relevant in order to become a naturalized citizen relevant to our discussion.
It is infinitely infuriating when some middling engagement with the material presents a loose keyword match of the topic at hand masquerading it as something relevant worthy of a “gotcha ya” moment. Citing this article in this context is a waste of everyone’s time when the whole of your argument is “Lebanese people are white”. It didn’t matter to to racists then and it doesn’t now.
Nou’la had immigrated with his wife Fannie from Zahleh to Valdosta, Georgia around 1906. They decided to move to Lake City, Florida in 1926 after N’oula was flogged by the local KKK chapter, and after several run-ins with the law in Valdosta. Unfortunately for the family, problems with the law persisted in Lake City, and came to a head when the Sheriff and his deputies shot Fannie to death over an altercation at the Lebanese couple’s store. They then placed N’oula in jail where later that night a mob dragged him out and killed him.
This happened in 1929. They were declared “free white men” in 1913.
“I’m a Lebanese-American Muslim who is gay.
“From that, I have a lot of experience going to Lebanon and experiencing war. “In 1998, I was there when one of the sonic booms was above the sports stadium.
“I remember that just because it was so traumatising as a child to hear bombs, even though in 2006 there were way more experiences and it was way more horrifying, for some reason, the 1998 experience when I was 11 was really, really traumatising.
“I think these experiences set me up for always really being interested in the Middle East as just a place of complexity and competing interests, narratives that feel different than my experiences.”
Now they don’t do either.
That makes sense. I’m not sure how they are related, but it’s not my field. I wonder what prediction used before gpt.
When? I don’t see that any where.
I’m not fluent in neural network systems, but I thought it was NLP in the early 10s and not GPT.
I don’t know how I feel about “cromulent” being in the dictionary now. Its sort of great that The Simpsons create this type of effect, but now it ruins the joke.
I get irrationally annoyed when I see cars without license plates. I can’t help but think the dildo is inside the car.
Well, I’m hot-blooded, check it and see I’ve got a fever of a hundred and three Come on, baby, do you do more than dance?
Just finished watching the last episode of Weidmageddon about 30 minutes ago and instantly had the same thought… Obviously that Bill Cipher right there!
Okay. I was confused because I never mentioned anything about dreadlocks.
