“Ownership“ doesn’t mean “I can do whatever I want with it”.
edit: wow, Redditors are better at accepting the truth, lol

Also, I don’t really get the logic of how stealing from them is somehow supporting them.
Besides, every alternative is absolute garbage compared to Photoshop.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I sign up with my PayPal account, and as soon as I’m done registering, I cancel the auto renew in PayPal’s payment management center.
And, yes, I do have to re-register every two weeks or so when the trial finally expires, but that sure beats having to pay 105+ dollars per month!
blave@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What is lunch like in exclusive private schools for rich kids?18·14 hours agoI went to a fancy boarding school growing up. The food was average. It was made by a staff for almost 200 kids, so they didn’t really seem to go out of their way to make it special except for around the holidays.
Most kids kept snacks back in the room because they didn’t like the food.

Definitely a brain fart. Thanks for looking out.
You’re thinking of remote X server, but there was also something called Cygwin that allowed you to run certain Linux apps within a virtualized environment. It was basically just an X window that opened up in windows inside of which you could run Linux apps.

that’s because Morrissey is an insufferably pretentious douche. you can tell he was to blame because he went solo and continued torturing eardrums.
Johnny Marr did okay when he went solo. a little uneven, but better than Morrissey.
the most recent version of Finder is… a bit weird. I like all of the tools and functions it has, but it’s a huge departure from the previous version of Finder, and I’m not a super-fan of some of the feature implementations. but, if you’re used to using Finder for a lot of work, you won’t feel too out-of-place.
I haven’t used Dolphin in over a decade, so perhaps I’ll check it out.
I don’t know how much of this is going on now, but in the early days, one could run a variety of linux apps in windows with the correct runtimes installed. this may be how WINE came about?

That’s a lot of words for, “whaaaa!” 😭
And I suggest you look up the definition of the word “ownership”. Nowhere in that definition does it say you can “do whatever you want”. What you’re describing is lawless anarchy, and I sure don’t wanna live in a society like that.
