Once upon a time the slogan used to be “truth, justice, and the American way”. Guess which part people wanted to keep, which parts they wanted to throw out the window.

For me, I don’t care to know the details of their past relationships. It’s none of my business. If anything, sharing body counts is just another way to shame a partner for something that should not be held against anyone. So what if she sucked 37 dicks? Doesn’t matter if it was in a row or not.

I feel that your examples fall more into the sexual category. In my experience, a romantic relationship must always evolve into a shared life, otherwise it will die out.

The same for mortgages too really. All these people out there toting new construction and how it’s good for property values seem to forget that higher property values means 1) higher property taxes, and 2) higher priority values, for when you sell your home and need to buy a new one.

He Still Rides His Tricycle Around The Oval Office

To be fair(ish), if I were the POTUS, had the emotional maturity of a rock, and everybody kept tripping over themselves to make me happy, why wouldn’t I want to ride a giant tricycle around the Oval Office?

I’m actually more surprised we don’t see more photo ops of him sitting in fire trucks pulling on the horn.

My first college was a technical college that also trained nurses. If there’s one thing I learned it’s that nurses have nasty hygiene habits. Hopefully that gets washed out (pun intended) in the field; eventually.

I never will understand how somebody gets into any facet of medicine (e.g. nurse, doctor, pharmacist) and find it okay to deny anybody healthcare solely based on how the person lives. Like dude, there are better ways to make money and be a bigot at the same time. Insurance CEO comes to mind. Cannon fodder as well.

I’m kind of in the same boat, especially with having more stuff than space. I’m not all the way there yet, but I’ve been slowly finding places for things. If I have a thing, and it doesn’t have a place, then I’ll put it aside or post it to Nextdoor/Craigslist. For the smaller knickknacks, I usually just toss them; if I genuinely need them in the future, I can get another one — except cables; never get rid of cables. It’s the law.

We are also exhausted by all the other things we’re supposed to be apoplectic about.
