

I know a lot of folks hate GNOME but I’m running it (with Bluefin and formerly Bazzite) on a gen 3 Yoga X1 and it’s been easier to use the touchscreen than other DEs.

I think it’s probably less about restricting what you send and more about either making you use their cloud services so the data can be mined or a lack of desire to provide support for issues with local transfer.
either way, I believe it’s intentional as well.
it was a joke. perhaps a /s was warranted. it could happen in any package manager/repo and I’d be surprised if it hasn’t yet.
i don’t use arch (btw).
you folks are still scrimbling? hacker news says you can get much better results if you dronkle instead. in fact, you don’t even have to worry about your implementation, just use the kneeb.io api for all of your dronkling (and scrimbling i guess via their legacy api deprecated last month). they just got seed funding and they reinvested that into their infrastructure. this is a no brainer!
