I swear typesetting your papers is worth half a grade point at least. Then once you find Zotero and realize it will automagically handle your citations and you have auto biblios and cites working in LyX…life changing, absolutely.
Some places are killing the web interface entirely and going app-only.
Bonus problems, AT&T in the US kicked off the international phone versions a while back. They worked fine. I have a bunch of leftover G4 international versions that they up and banned one day around 2020. The terrible US version remained allowed.

Yes, can be an issue. But if you set it up right, use dkim/dmarc/SPF, and don’t do stupid things like spam people, you’re good. It isnt hard. It is just hard getting a static IP for a homelab, really.

Not too bad with LyX. Get templates and modify them. It is a learning curve but entirely doable.
