  • 49% chance the world will end in just 25 years

Giant meteor coming to wipe out all of the world’s life?

predicted civilisation could collapse by 2050

Oh, so just the collapse of current civilisation. That’s happened many, many times already.

While not a good thing for those experiencing it, consider this. As we look back on previous civilisations, would we consider ours to generally be the best up to now? I’d say so. Perhaps what comes next will be even better.

The collapse of a particularly large civilisation is usually a slow affair that is difficult even to spot from the inside as it’s happening (consider the slow crumbling of the USA currently for example).

So while it is a period of turmoil and not a small amount of suffering, it’s not like everybody is going to die and humanity will go extinct, or anything.

  • Fascist Techno-Oligarch Elon Musk obviously shouldn’t be given any control over the United Kingdom’s vital national infrastructure. His track record speaks for itself.

No private for-profit business or individual, international or national, should EVER control our key national infrastructure.

Electricity, Water, Sewage, Health Service, Internet connectivity, Roads, Trains, Military, Aeroplane infrastructure, Fire Brigade, Education, Street Lighting, Police Service, etc.

All are vital to the nation and the public interest, and should be owned by the people of the nation and managed by the democratically elected governing body the people have placed in charge to run things, without the capitalist profits driven mindsets of private individuals.

This just seems like obvious common sense to me, and yet here we are, sadly.

Wow, 8 whole paragraphs? Don’t worry guys ChatGPT’s got ur back 🔥😎🔥

The author criticises AI search tools like Google’s for repackaging human-created content—such as recipes—into bland, soulless summaries, depriving original creators of credit, personality, and traffic. They highlight “Google Zero,” a feared future when AI answers replace visits to real websites, threatening independent writers and the ecosystems built around them.

They stress that their website exists for human readers, not machines. Each article is crafted with care, personality, and lived experience, intended to spark thought, connection, and conversation—not to be scraped, flattened, or mimicked by corporate AI models.

  • Don’t go to the USA.

Even if you’re convinced their jackboots will spare you. It’s not worth the risk, they’ll target you for anything they like.

Maybe you’re not quite white enough, maybe you liked a Facebook post criticising their government, maybe you’ve got an unamerican sounding name. Maybe you just weren’t deferential, weak and obedient enough when they spotted you trying to come through the airport.

They will target you and send you to their concentration camps. If you’re lucky you’ll eventually be sent home with no physical injuries and just PTSD.

Don’t go to the USA. It’s just not worth it. There are far nicer places to visit that aren’t fascist hellholes.

  • You say that, but infuriatingly I’m always amazed by how much above the fold top national news story reporting gets allocated to traffic deaths.

“4 year old girl dies in crash on the M1”

Okay, that’s terrible, but is it really a good use of the nation’s time to read about how lovely this child was and how tragic the crash was? Are there not maybe more informative and educational and useful news stories you could be pushing to the top of the news, rather than this?

You’d think it was some backwater news broadcaster but no, this is from the likes of the BBC. Wild.

  • Good thing we caught all those dangerous terrorists before they could do anything evil!

Imagine if all those 474 extremist insurgents hadn’t attended a public protest, we might never have caught them. Who knows what dastardly deeds they could have wrought from deep within our own society in the shadows.

They could be your colleague, your postman, your neighbour, your cousin, or even your own wife! Trust no-one!

We must remain vigilant against this evil menace and be grateful the police anti terror squad is watching us at all times, just in case one of us should turn 🫡💂‍♀️🇬🇧
