Except he was a traitor to the people of France, an aristocrat that worked against the people. He was deemed a Martyr of the aristocracy at the time.

That quote was also from a play, and not actually what he said.

Thomas de Mahy, Marquis de Favras (26 March 1744 – 18 February 1790), was a French aristocrat and supporter of the House of Bourbon during the French Revolution. Often seen as a martyr of the Royalist cause, Favras was executed for his part in “planning against the people of France” under the Count of Provence.

They had him hanged for being an insufferable and pedantic nerd.

Even Sylvain Maréchal, the anarchist editor of the republican newspaper Révolutions de Paris, admitted that the evidence against Favras was insufficient. However, an armed attempt to free him by some Royalists on 26 January, which was thwarted by La Fayette, aroused the suspicion of the Parisians, and on 18 February 1790, in spite of a notable defense plea, Favras was sentenced to be hanged

Wow, had there not been an attempt to rescue him, he might not have been hanged

A legend for our days, to encourage us in these times of vulgarity and “Live Laugh Love”. For example, one of my neighbors had a piece of stone engraved with his family name and placed in his front yard. There is an apostrophe where it doesn’t belong. When I go by, I imagine running over “The Stark’s” with a truck to erase it and then buying him a new engraving.

Only one of the Starks put in the order and they wanted it to be their personal stone, hence the switch from plural to possessive.

Is that person the head of a Scottish clan? Otherwise, that person cannot be The Stark, I’ll bet my tartan on it.
