I need to add this to my watch list 🇹🇼
If you find out where to watch it please shout. Definitely interested.
It supposedly came our on the 2nd but I can’t find it
Edit: that’s for Taiwan specifically apparently it’ll air internationally “at a later date” for some reason.
My guess would be language localisation for it hasn’t been done yet.
There are English subtitles available through Line TV, apparently. I’d just wait regardless, I doubt this show is good enough to warrant jumping through hoops.
So, another fear mongering campaign, similar to those in the English speaking countries against the Arab people?
I don’t think the Taiwanese see it that way given China repeatedly calls for it, or implies that it’ll do it.
And simulates it in escalating military exercises every year while rapidly expanding its navy, including massive landing barges. But, sure, fear mongering.
China has explicitly waged a walk on a thin line in between outlining clear intention to have the clear resolution and peaceful reunification. But also to show that they won’t be comfortable having an aggressive neighbour. This is quite simple geopolitics as it outlines a boundary which China won’t be comfortable for it to be crossed.
That China walks on this thin line is the threat. It’s the ambiguity. Dear me dude, China is 1.4 billion in size. Taiwan is 23 million.
What on earth does Taiwan or could Taiwan ever do that could be remotely threatening or aggressive to China?
If the PRC wanted to it could negotiate a peaceful independence that would remove RoC/Taiwan from US influence and lead to a peaceful reunification, or at least much closer ties and no worry about US meddling over a generation or two.
But it doesn’t see the point, as as local hegemon/imperial power war is an ace card, and what gains does a commitment to peace bring? (This is the US (including pre-Trump’s) general ideology with other nations too (albeit not White European ones.)
