Bro where do you even get all of these weird diagrams
Lol Ploopy is real you know
Nah programs run fine on Linux - I just use CumSock emulator- it’s not officially compatible with Debian but you can install the flat pack with Ploopy. Make a few config changes and you’re off to the races!
Jesus christ that’s a cursed combination
LaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Debian 13 burning 10W playing 4K YouTube video on a Framework with max brightness 🫨1·16 days agoThat is very impressive! Although to be honest I question the accuracy of all those estimated power draws. I would be interested to see an endurance test of your battery- assuming your battery capacity is accurate, your runtime on a full charge should line up with your power draw.
Yeah, I noticed in my late 20s that the world has changed from my childhood. All my childhood sports heroes have retired. New music genres have replaced what I heard on the radio. A lot of my old haunts are still there, but some have been knocked down and replaced. It’s an… unsettling feeling when you realize the ground is moving beneath your feet. The best thing you can do is to keep moving yourself (figuratively, not literally). Explore new places, make new hobbies. Fill up your time with new experiences and you won’t have as much of a sense of loss.
The surreal days for me are the ones where it’s not really that cold but it’s so humid you can still see your breath
I mean that’s of the ethenet capable ones… a huge chunk are still serial
Just my perspective as a controls (SCADA engineer):
I work for a large power company. We have close to 100 sites, each with hundreds of IP devices, and have never had a problem with ipv4. Especially when im out in the field I love being able to check IPs, calculate gateways, etc at a glance. Ipv6 is just completely freaking unreadable.
I see the value of outward-facing ipv6 devices (i.e. devices on the internet), considering we are out of ipv4s. But I don’t see why we have to convert private networks to ipv6. Put more bluntly: at least industry, it just isn’t gonna happen for decades (if it ever does). Unless you need more IPs it’s just worse to work with. And there’s a huge amount of inertia- got one singular device that doesn’t talk ipv6 at a given generation site? What are you supposed to do?
Nah that’s in the books too
I think it’s an optical illusion… if you stare at it long enough you may start to see lines of text above and below the image!
Hmm really? I can’t say I’ve ever had sore abs after a non-ab-specific workout
I’ve heard most body builders don’t really do much for abs. If you have low body fat and do whole body exercises like squats, deadlifts, or even stuff like bench press they should pretty much take care of themselves.
LaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are there any legitimate "brain training" apps/games/etc.?1·1 month agoNah it was a real e-ink kindle. It just wasn’t for me i guess.
LaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are there any legitimate "brain training" apps/games/etc.?5·1 month agoI would say reading books. It’s a long form activity that is a strong counter to the brain rot of scrolling and being mindlessly entertained by 100 different things for 10 seconds each. I find that when I read I have more vivid dreams which I think is definitely a sign that my brain has been fired up.
LaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Are there any legitimate "brain training" apps/games/etc.?1·1 month agoSame! I’ve read 1 (one) book in my life on a kindle and hated it. Physical books are just really cool, or maybe it’s just preference because that’s what I grew up with.
All I’m doing is pointing out that the above evidence is flawed. I can do that without a full-throated defense of the American police apparatus.
You lost me there…
