It’s Superman you shit for brains assholes. Being good to people and fighting wrong doing while preserving life and making things better for everyone is like his whole thing.
Which is our right. I paid for the phone. Google, Samsung, and Apple aren’t fucking paying me.
The average US adult now reads at a 6th grade level
Read this statistic recently, and while not surprising, it is shocking. I remember when I was young, the average was an 8th grade reading level. And I thought that was terrible.
I had an 8th grade reading level in the 4th grade for crying out loud, meaning the average American reads at a lower level than I could in elementary school.
I think with the arrows on the ‘98 version they were trying to go with an embossed look, but it kinda flops because of the lack of resolution.
It’s possible it looked better on a CRT.
Has something similar with Bacardi 151 back when I was in college. Me and two friends were playing cards and drinking, losers take a shot. We went through a huge bottle in like 30 mins. I was just utterly blasted, I’d never drink so much in my life. Thought I might die of alcohol poisoning.
I stayed completely sober for like 5 years after that, and some 20 years later I still rarely drink.
My wife and I have been discussing this. My take is they’re gonna graduate from the list isn’t real to “Epstein isn’t real.” They’re gonna double speak the man out of existence to cull this list talk.
Can confirm, fucking off from society helps.
Wife and I moved from city life to a rural area with more deer than people back in 2021. In terms of well being, the peace and nature are incredible. I never want to live in a city again.
Couldn’t completely piss off to the woods since we still need groceries, doctor, mechanic, etc., but it’s been rural enough and nobody bothers us. Now I only go into town every 5 or 6 weeks for necessities and get out as quickly as I can. I’ve become something of a hermit, but happier for it.
Sony had some fucking weird ads back in the day.
That’s wild. Superman fought the KKK and Nazis. He fought for equal rights. My man threw nuclear missiles into the sun in the 80s for demilitarization. Superman is a political figure fighting for a better society. He just also happens to fight big space monsters from time to time as well.
The extreme right (aka, most of the Conservative Party and voters) would prefer to claim him because he’s attractive, strong, and white-presenting. So they’ll happily ignore Supes’ own illegal status in lieu of smearing the image to force the character in line via societal and social pressure for creators and writers to conform.
