I’ll start with “Outland”. It’s about a crotchety Sheriff/Marshall investigating crimes on a mining colony on one of Jupiter’s moons, and the sidekick doctor that helps him solve them. The original film had a very “Alien” universe feel.
Pitch meeting: True Detctive meets Alien. Each season = one mystery.
I just rewatched this movie. Outland would make a great TVshow!
Dredd, the Karl Urban version
Jumper was a cool idea/movie that could easily be made a TV series
Unfortunately I think they did, a miniseries about the Jumper’s daughter, I think loosely based on the third book.
Galaxy Quest would be kinda meta.
The movie was lighting in a bottle. I don’t see any way to make it work as a series.
The Orville is great!
Given the relative dystopia we find ourselves in, I honestly think a TV adaptation of The Running Man might be quite fitting? Something of a cross between Ninja Warrior, Gladiators and Squid Game.
Given the current US administration, there’s an equal chance of it being fictional or an actual live-action game show featuring migrant ‘runners’ and masked ICE agent ‘stalkers’.
we’re gonna get a film version of the long walk :D
walk or die lol. thought about that all the time during basic training
The new Karate Kid movie would make a great TV series haha jk.
But seriously, with Jackie Chan!
Do it.

It’s funny and sad how ‘Alien’ has become a euphemism for ‘working class’ because that’s one of the thematic similarities they share and probably what you’re referring to.
Pretty sure it hasn’t.
